Ilene Fletcher, director of Family Visitation Service has been providing supervised visitation since 1986. She combines this with her 30 years of experience providing in home care for senior, and dependent adult as a vendor of 7 Regional centers in the southern California health districts in-home respite care, and long term in home care with unusual and high risk communities.
With adults that were high risk vulnerable populations. During these years she was the placement coordinator for more than 5,000 families working with the most prominent private case. Ilene’s was known for providing emergency services in the middle of night when 911 is not enough.
Her long-standing success in this field is her understanding that a team approach better serves these vulnerable individuals, who are unable to advocate for themselves. She witnessed the abuse and neglect at skilled nursing facilities, board and cares and in the home.
From 1976 through 2005 working with friends, caregivers, and family mentors though the Regional Center to ensure in-home care respite and long-term 24-hour care with adults who had a combination of developmental delay and mental illness, as well as those who were medically fragile. Her goal was to keep the individual safe and to create the best-quality of life by establishing person-centered programs around their needs.
Ellen has a rich history and a keen sense of evaluating the needs and coordinating service delivery for developmentally disabled and dependent adults and seniors.
